Speaker Highlights

SUSAN TYNAN

FOUNDER & CEO, FRAMEBRIDGE

Prior to founding Framebridge, Susan held senior product, ops, and business development roles in several consumer technology startups. At LivingSocial, Susan launched and managed three business lines, including the home services business (which featured many framing deals). Other startup experience includes Taxi Magic/Curb, Revolution Health, and Promontory Interfinancial. Susan worked for the White House as a management advisor on technology and customer service issues. She began her career at Accenture.

Susan earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from the University of Virginia. Susan founded Framebridge when she realized she avoided buying art – even travel souvenirs - because she couldn’t find a way to affordably or easily frame it. Now she works to revolutionize an outmoded industry and to get everyone’s favorite art & photos on the wall.

ARATHI  MEHROTRA

general manager , uber

Arathi is Uber’s General Manager overseeing operations in the Southeast region. She and her teams focus on bringing riders and drivers more affordable, reliable transportation choices through the Uber platform. Arathi began her career at Uber by launching and running new markets. Since then, she has grown and managed Uber in cities across the Southeast from D.C. down to Florida.

Prior to Uber, Arathi held leadership positions in media, corporate development and finance. She began her career in investment banking at Deutsche Bank in NYC. She later transitioned to ImpreMedia, LLC, reporting to the CEO and playing a key role in two acquisitions as well as the launch of the company’s digital business. After business school, Arathi worked as Director, Digital Products at National Geographic where she drove monetization efforts and business strategy across products and acted as a strategic adviser to the President of Publishing & Digital Media.

LINDA POON

Assistant editor, citylab

Linda Poon is an assistant editor at CityLab covering science and urban technology, including smart cities and climate change. She previously covered global health and development for NPR’s Goats and Soda blog.
